‘’This 5 to 6 minute speech should inform the audience about an issue of public concern that will also lead to your persuasive speech. It requires completion of an informative speech preparation sheet (including brief outline and listing of at least 3 references). Visual aids are also required. This speech is to increase the audience’s knowledge or understanding about a particular issue WITHOUT arguing a particular side or trying to persuade the audience how to feel about the issue. You should select a topic that you find both interesting and useful. Something which you are interested in learning more about and sharing what you learn with the class. You will be expected to turn in a complete preparation outline on both BOLT and a hard copy of your speaking outline handed in the day of your speech. However, the speech itself should be delivered extemporaneously utilizing 4x 6 note card’’
